: : I have two plates that I inherited from my Great-Grandmother but am having trouble dating them. They are Theodore Haviland. The blank mark is mark M (1894-1957). The decorator mark is like mark Q (1903) but the script used is an italicized cursive. Any help would be appreciated.
Colleen, I have pieces from three different sets. The marks your describing sound like one of the three? Mark q will work for dating those. (1903) I think I know what you mean about the script. The letters seem to look hand written and all conected, right? They look different than the print outs I have on all the decorator marks. Does your pattern happen to have roses on it?
Lets swap pictures if you can.
